Cassie Channels Urban Chic Style On “106 & Park”

What can’t Cassie Ventura wear? The dynamic diva has always challenged bars with her daring approach to fashion, and her appearance on last week’s 106 & Park was no exception. She showed up alongside Terrence J sporting street chic ensembles that Necole Bitchie says gave them “flashbacks” of dearly departed baby girl Aaliyah (and we have to agree).

Cassie’s two-day guest host stint also found the singer dishing on her modeling career, which she admitted was a challenge in the beginning due to her pint-sized height: “[My Mom] always said if you’re not happy don’t do it and I think that’s really important to remember that, that’s not the only thing in the world. As happy as you are doing what you’re doing and persistent. I was very like ‘I must be a model.’ Like I’m 5’4 and cannot fit the clothes. I’m too short for everything.”

That didn’t stop her, of course, and to all the other petite aspiring models striving to make an impact, she had this to say: “Go for it! Get your pictures taken, go on open calls to different agencies, you just have to go for it. I’m 5’6 and I was 5’4 when I started.”
