Chris Brown’s Rolex Rescuer Speaks On Why She Didn’t Keep The Watch

During Chris Brown’s stuntastic performance at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, the all-white flying ninja lost his pricey Rolex watch in the crowd. Valued at $22,000 you’d think the fallen timepiece would be lost forever, but loyal CB fan Alisha Borton decided to return the watch to Breezy. And her honesty came with a free gift in return. CB thanked Alisha by giving her VIP passes to one of his F.A.M.E. tour dates, as well as a meet-and-greet opp. Check out what the fan had to say about what happened…

“I was actually on the stage right behind where the trampoline was,” Borton recalled to MTV News on Wednesday. “You can see me right behind the trampoline … on TV [and] you can see where he takes off his watch and throws it. I guess he did it on purpose. There’s the watch flying in the air, I just picked it up and put it on my wrist. I was afraid it was gonna get broken. Whenever he came off the stage, I kind of went towards him but he didn’t see me at all,” she explained.

“Then we were walking back to where we were [standing onstage]. Then there was a lady … the lady came up to me [and said], ‘I need that watch,’ and she took it.” The star’s watch is worth an estimated $22,000, and Alisha joked, “I thought it was expensive, I didn’t think it was that expensive. I had it on my wrist waiting for somebody to take it. That’s crazy,” she added about the price of the accessory. “That’s like taking a car and trying to sell it. It didn’t cross my mind that I could keep it.”
