Nearly two decades after their debut album Cooleyhighharmony was released, multi-Grammy winning R&B group Boyz II Men prove their careers have not come to the end of the road.

After having their song “Uhhh” sampled on Beyonce’s “Countdown” to collaborating with Justin Bieber on his Christmas album Under The Mistletoe, the quartet will be releasing their own group project Twenty. The new album, released Tuesday, will be a mix of eight old-school classics, like “End of the Road” and “Down On Bended Knee,” along with 12 new tracks.

“We’re trying our best to transcend time, but at the same time maintain our integrity and allow people to see the maturity as well,” member Wanya Morris told MTV in a recent interview.

Although the group has sold multiple albums and has continued to perform for the past five years, averaging about 110 shows each year, their success has not come without setbacks.

Bass vocalist Michael McCary, who separated from the group in the early 2000s was asked to return on the album but “didn’t put in the effort to reunite,” according to co-member Nathan Morris.

Still, the focus of the album remains on the music.

“The concept of music is still the same, but what we write about and what we think about nowadays is a little different,” Morris said. “We’re a little older, but the main objective is still all about love.”
