Lil Wayne Working on 'Human Being' and 'Rebirth' Sequels
Weezy may know how to love but he clearly doesn't know when to stop.
Young Money ringleader Lil Wayne is working on a follow-up to his 2010 I Am Not A Human Being LP in addition to preparing tracks for a sequel to his Rebirth rock album, according to YMCMB President Mack Maine, who told MTV News.
"He's like 12 songs in and he went crazy," Maine said. "He's in martian land right now."
The "She Will" rapper was still in jail when the original Human Being album was digitally released in September 2010. Certified gold by the RIAA, the LP contained hits such as "Right Above It" featuring Drake and "I'm Single."
The physical copy debuted at #1 on the charts when it dropped a month later. Maine said that the diversity of genres allow Weezy to express himself without limits musically.
"He gets to show his rock side, he gets the gangster side and talk to the women on one side, but on I Am Not A Human Being, he's definitely showing some weirdo, left-brain, 'I'm not from here' side."
As a result, Weezy brings in a wide range of audiences, killing it every night on his tours.
"You bring your Rebirth rock people, you bring your Carter people, and you bring your I Am Not a Human Being [people], and you have a great show. That's why we sell out arenas every night."
Maine says that I Am A Human Being 2 will probably come out before Rebirth 2 but no release dates have been set. --Adelle Platon
