Vegas, Baby! Vixen's 6 Favorite Places To Play In Sin City
Spice up a Saturday brunch with the girls by turning it into a weekend in Las Vegas. Sin City is the ultimate escape where time is irrelevant and you can be whoever you want. Gambling, man hunting, bachelorette parties, never-ending buffets, the nation’s top djs and more mean that the possibilities are endless.
Las Vegas is a rapidly expanding metropolis that is rife with megaresorts and decadent indulgences at your every whim 24/7. Here’s a list of VIBE Vixen’s six favorite places to play for a weekend in Vegas with your girls. –Starrene Rhett
The Miracle Mile Shops
The Miracle Mile Shops is more like a city than it is a mall. Located in the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, in the heart of Vegas’ infamous strip, there’s an overwhelming array of shops to choose from. There are the usual mall staples like Aldo, Bakers and Sephora but if you want something authentically Sin City then check out Betty Page, and The Sugar Factory.
Betty Page is a vintage store full of beautiful 1940s and ‘50s pinup style dresses, while The Sugar Factory is the candy store of every girly girl’s dreams. You can purchase various types of sweet treats but the main attraction is the store’s signature bedazzled lollipops endorsed by iconic figures like Hello Kitty and celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Rihanna and more. You can mix and match flavors and colors according to your outfit.
STK is appropriately located in the Cosmopolitan Hotel. A dining experience here is like the steakhouse meets the dance party. Not only can you indulge in epicurean delights like beef tenderloins, succulent char and decadent deserts (ie there is no bad food here), but the diverse musical selection spun by some of the city’s best celebrity DJs (it varies) could make any girl want to two-step in her seat, or at the very least, head nod in preparation for the next party.
Vanity Night Club
There are tons of nightclubs in Vegas to choose from but what sets Vanity apart from the others is the diverse music. Electronic music is huge in Vegas right now but if you want to get your hip-hop and pop fix too then Vanity, located in the Hard Rock Hotel, is where you want to be.
These America’s Best Dance Crew winners have a killer show at The Monte Carlo! The mysterious b-boys pop lock, break and shake while also combining other theatrical elements like stark visuals, sexy interludes and comic routines. They literally don’t miss a beat. They might even flirt with you in the process. Be prepared for active crowd participation.
Qua At Caesar’s Palace
Vegas has billions of spas to choose from so we’ll make the decision easier by directing you to Caesar’s Palace for relaxing facials, Swarovski body art, Chakra balancing, body exfoliating treatments a variety of massages and much more. The attentive staff, relaxing hot tubs, steam room and snow room (which is way more relaxing than it may sounds) provide an atmosphere so calm that you almost forget about the frenetic world outside of Caesar’s walls. You’ll step out of Qua feeling like a new woman.
Holstein’s Burgers and Shakes
The burgers at Holstein’s are second to none. We dare you to try one without ketchup, that’s how good they are. We promise that you will be in love.
