Frank Ocean Pulls Out of First New York City Concert
Frank Ocean is one of the most wanted men in R&B. He refuses to do interviews or let fans into his personal life, yet his buzz continues to grow larger by the day. This past weekend, Ocean performed his first solo show in the city that birthed him, New Orleans. However, as the crooner arrived in New York City on Sunday for his next stop, the singer's health took a turn for the worst.
"NEW YORK IS CANCELLED. or should i say postponed. i played last night in new orleans, on antibiotics and some other meds," Frank wrote on his Tumblr page. " got sick a cpl days before i left los angeles. woke up this morning in new york and could barely speak. called a doctor to my hotel, got a steroid shot. took some more meds. laid in bed allday till soundcheck, got to the venue and could barely sing any of my songs. im really sorry yall. i been workin on this show for months, did everything i could to make it special for yall. i’ll be back soon as i’m healthy. thats my word. tickets will be valid for that, or you guys can get refunded. damn. this shit sucks."
Numerous fans were aleady waiting in line at the Bowery Ballroom when promoters broke the news to those at the venue. A rescheduled date is reported to already be in the works.
