Kelly Rowland Supports Kim Kardashian's Decision to Divorce Kris Humpries
If you have ever watched any of the Kardashian shows, then you are well aware that Kelly Rowland and Kim Kardashian are besties. After Kim announced her divorce from Kris Humphries, the media had a field day. Kelly decided to show support for her girl and explained her desire for marriage and that if she went through with her broken engagement she could have been in the same predicament as Kim.
Six years ago, many of you may remember that Kelly Rowland was engaged to Dallas Cowboys NFL player Roy Williams. The two never made it to the alter after Williams called off the wedding two months before coming together as one. Kelly was distraught stating:
“I wanted that wedding. I wanted to be married. You can just make wrong decisions in life. That was all part of growing up. I just think it’s important to trust your gut. I did a lot of soul-searching afterwards, and I want to be married, so dating is part of that process.”
Perhaps that was Kim's problem. She wanted the wedding and to be married too badly. In a far-fetched sense, Kelly is right. It's always good to trust your gut feeling, but since Kim is known as a fame whore, the 72-day marriage doesn't help her reputation. It's nice to see, though, that Kelly's a true friend coming to Kim's defense.
Do you think it's wrong for Kelly to support Kim's decision? Is it even possible to compare Kelly's broken engagement to Kim's marriage?
