Become a Holiday Vamp!
Create an alter ego by adding some mystery and sultriness to your makeup wardrobe. Saunter into the party not as yourself, but as a Holiday Vamp. Whether it’s decadently dark, molten chocolate hues on the lips with a naked understated sheen on the eye or a gunmetal smoky eye paired with a red lip - someone at the party will mistaken you for a modern day Josephine Baker mixed with a little Nina Mosley.
Making the lips the focus on your face by wearing a dark color creates a minimalistic pop to your look. Be sure that your eyes aren’t competing with the lip color by staying away from equally dark eyeshadows. To create the vamp lip try using MAC Film Noir lipstick, Makeup Forever Aqua Lip Waterproof Lip Liner in Chocolate Brown 6C for definition, and MAC Dark Knight Pro Longwear Lipglass for a luscious finish. Applying lip conditioner before you begin is a MUST! Keep the look on the eyes very simple by using Urban Decay Midnight Cowboy eyeshadow, Laura Mercier Black Ebony Cake Eyeliner and loading lots of Benefit Bad Gal Lash in Black onto the eye lashes.
For an intense Smoky eye use Guerlain Black Kohl, MAC Knight Divine and Carbon eyeshadows and L’Oreal Black Voluminous Falsh Lashes Mascara. A MAC #219 pencil brush and an llamasqua eyeshadow placement brush are some essential tools to this application. The perfect red pout can be created by using Yves Saint Laurent 17 Red Muse Rouge Volupte Silky Sensual Radiant Lipstick SPF 15 and a MAC #316 lip brush for application precision.
Both looks work best with perfected skin i.e., a little FCP (Foundation and/or concealer and translucent powder) to give you the most sexy and polished results. Remember to vamp responsibly during this holiday season!
