NASA Space Craft Discovers New Earth Like Planet
NASA's Kepler spacecraft has confirmed the discovery of its first new world in its host star's habitable zone. In order for a planet to be habitable, it has to have a not too hot, not to cold climate where liquid water can exist and so far the new planet, named Kepler-22b fits that descrpition, according to The Christian Science Monitor.
This newfound planet is located about 600 light-years away, orbiting a sun-like star. Basically, with human technology it would take about 1,000 years to get there so don't think we're relocating any time soon.
"We're getting closer and closer to discovering the so-called 'Goldilocks planet,'" Pete Worden, director of NASA's Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, Calif., said during a press conference today.
Human beings need to stay right on Earth. Think about it, the only thing people would do if they relocated to another planet is take the same destructive habits with them and do the same thing to the new world smh.
Scientists say they have found more than 1,000 new planet candidates in addition to Keplar 22-b.
