V Exclusive! DJ MLK Says T.I.’s F*ck Da City Up’ Mixtape ‘Reps for Atlanta’

With T.I.’s F*ck Da City Up mixtape dropping at the top of 2012, VIBE.com caught up with Grand Hustle’s DJ MLK to get the scoop on the highly anticipated project. MLK and DJ Drama serves as the host’s of T.I.’s first mixtape since he release from prison.

“Yeah me and DJ Drama both co-sign the new tape but T.I.’s in control. It’s not gonna be so much talking like F*ck A Mixtape was,” MLK tells VIBE. ” It’s gonna be like an album, all original tracks and no jacking for beats. The project speaks for itself, reppin’ the whole A-town. There’s gonna be a gang of other Atlanta artists, new cats in the city. It’s crazy. It’s like a mini album to hold yall until Trouble Man drops.”

When it came to the Trouble Man album, MLK couldn’t reveal much but assured us that Tip’s next album is going to be worth the wait.

“I can’t really speak on it because nothing is final, but the songs so far are classic. If you’re a fan of T.I. youre gonna get that cold southern flow. The way you heard him come in the game, he’s taking it back to that on the album.”
