Did Jay-Z Really Give Up Using ‘B**ch’ in His Music?

A mysterious poem said to be penned by Jay-Z has been making its rounds around the Internet. While the exact source of the poem is unclear, its message is quite deep. Creditable sites such as NME claim Hov’s personal message is also his vow to officailly stop using the the word “b*tch” in his songs.

“Before I got in the game, made a change, and got rich/ I didn’t think hard about using the word bitch. I rapped, I flipped it, I sold it, I lived it/ now with my daughter in this world I curse those that give it,” the poem reads.

“I never realized while on the fast track that I’d give riddance to the word bitch/ to leave her innocence intact. No man will degrade her, or call her name/ I’m so focused on your future, the degradation has passed.”

The odd thing is Jay-Z’s own Life + Times blog has not posted these rhymes, nor has Hov spoke out publicly on eradicating ‘b*tch’ from his vocabulary. Even NYMag remains skeptical.
