Celebs Who Fight Back! Twitter Thugs or Keeping It Real?
Social media has given something to today's society that previous generations have not been able to provide: the ability to talk to your favorite celebrity or the ones you dislike the most. Lately, Twitter has been looking like an episode of Basketball Wives, with celebrities responding to tweets they label disrespectful. And with each celebrity having an army of loyal fans, it's all too expected that once shots are fired, a trending topic is sure to follow.
One must assume that just as celebrity opens you up to a certain amount of scrutiny, a verified account would also bring the same consequences. While we do enjoy celebs being able to defend themselves, it makes us wonder if they are setting a good example and sending the right message to their younger fans.
One thing is for sure: Rihanna is the Twitter talking back champion. The Bajan princess is still catching criticism for her "Cake Remix," and it's not even her birthday anymore. When a fan came at her with her opinion about her rekindled friendship with Chris Brown, RihRih responded and started a Twitter war.
Neo soul artist Jill Scott is also proved that she is not to be played with. After tweeting her opinion about Nicki Minaj's recent Grammy performance, the Barbs attacked the Philly songbird. No worries though, she took the time out to respond to them politely.
