Movies & TV

Timing is everything, especially in Meryl Streep’s case. Last night (Feb. 26) at the 84th annual Academy Awards Streep beat Viola Davis and won the title of Best Actress.

“When they called my name, I had this feeling I could hear half of America going, ‘Ohhh, no,'” she stated during her acceptance speech, which ended a 29-year losing streak.

Streep won for her role as Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady.

Congrats on ending the Oscar dry spell!
