3 Ways to Let Your Man Be A Man
Men are characters.
They have their weird ways just as much as women do, and they're sometimes hard to figure out. (We blame pride!) It can be difficult to discern which situations you need to step in on or simply stay mum and let him exercise his masculinity. VV decided to come up with a short list of how to best handle those "let a man be a man" moments.
Here are three tips...
1. Let him fix it
It may be their egos, but guys want to feel needed. Rule no. 1? Do not call a repair man--at least not in dude's presence. Instead, let him use his hands. Encourage him and offer tips without being overbearing. Try not to come at him with a million questions, and don't pull out the instructions unless he asks. If he really needs your input, he'll say so.
2. Let him find his way
We've seen it in movies, we've seen it in real life: Guys don't like to be told where to go or how to get there. They like being in control. If you're lost together, you'll just have to chalk up and hope he figures out the right way soon. We know, we know--it doesn't make sense. Simply said: It's just a guy thing.
3. Let him clear his mind
Ladies, don't automatically think something is wrong with you when a guy is upset. He's probably just going through a personal problem. When he's done being standoffish, ask him what's up. If he doesn't want to share what's on his mind right away, don't nag him into talking. Guys aren't as emotional as females when it comes to being 100 percent open. The more you push him into talking, the more annoyed he becomes. As long as you express your initial worry, you can relax! He knows you're concerned. He'll come around when the time is right.
