Geraldo Rivera: “The Hoodie Is As Much Responsible For Trayvon’s Death As Zimmerman Was”

Fox News host, Geraldo Rivera, is under fire for comments against the hoodie that slain Florida teenager, Trayvon Martin was wearing when neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman pulled a gun on the youngster and shot him dead. The country has galvanized in support of the arrest of Zimmerman, who has not been charged in the shooting death of the unarmed teen.

In this clip, Rivera tries to rationalize the reason why Zimmerman shot Martin, and blames it on the hoodie that Martin was wearing at the time. New information has surfaced that prior to the confrontation that lead to the shooting, Zimmerman is heard on the 911 calls as referring to Martin as a “coon”.

Is Rivera right in his assertion that the way Martin was dressed lead to his death or is Rivera out of his mind to lay the blame on the teen’s wardrobe? Let us know your thoughts.

Here is what President Obama had to say about Trayvon Martin.
