It's Official! Apple Unveils iPad 3 (iPad HD)
Apple lovers, the moment you’ve all been Stanning for is here. The company Steve Jobs built is currently revealing its new iPad model at a media event in San Francisco.
It's rumored that the iPad 3 will have a faster processor, a sharper screen and an option for faster wireless broadband access. Huffington Post reports: “The upgrade from the iPad 2 to the iPad 3 will be less significant than the upgrade from the original iPad to the iPad 2, which added two cameras while cutting both the thickness and the weight of the device.”
The iPad 3 is speculated to include Siri, the popular voice-activated feature found on the iPhone 4S, in addition to its faster wireless capabilities.
Currently AT&T and Verizon Wireless are the only cell phone providers that sell the iPad, however it is possible that Sprint Nextel Corp. will also sell the iPad 3. Sprint joined the ranks in selling the iPhone last fall.
One major unknown is “whether Apple will keep the iPad 2 in production and offer it at a lower price, like it kept the iPhone 3GS after the launch of the iPhone 4,” Huffington Post reported.
In addition to many of its other features, the latest iPad is said to include a sharper screen with a higher resolution and instead of being called the “iPad 3” some speculate Apple will call the new model “iPad HD” due to its high definition feature.
