Mariah Carey Lights Up New York City During First Post-Pregnancy Concert
Just a year shy of giving birth to twin babies with hubby Nick Cannon, singing sensation Mariah Carey returned to the stage last night to flex her vocal skills and new body. Carey performed a set of some of her most popular songs at New York’s Gotham Hall as a part of Jimmy Kimmel’s Plot Your Escape concert event.
Carey’s return to the stage was slated for an earlier appearance but in light of Cannon’s recent health difficulties she pushed her performance back to be by his side. With a diamond encrusted microphone in tow, and a tight black dress to show off her new curves, the new Jenny Craig spokesperson embraced the stage with her popular hits such as “Always Be My Baby,” “Hero,” “We Belong Together,” and “Shake It Off.”
The new mother and wife sent a special shout out to her twins and husband, who were also in attendance for her show. She even teased the audience a little, asking them if she should bring out twins Monroe and Moroccan.
“Do I bring dem babies out?...They should be in bed,” Carey said. “I really wanted to bring them here tonight, but Monroe is sometimes shy and takes a while to warm up to an audience.”
