V Exclusive! Cassie Talks ‘King of Hearts,’ Art School Aspirations and Dream Fashion Campaign

Cassie is strikingly beautiful, but the Bad Boy bombshell has taken some major hits during her music career. Despite the nonsense (and almost six years past her debut LP), the model-slash-singer reintroduced herself to fans with the release of “King of Hearts,” an electro-pop record saluting her prince charming. (Ibiza, anyone?) The accompanying, semi-haunting visuals capture a scantily-clad Cas rocking Versace in a mansion and, well, looking effortlessly sexy while doing it.

VIBE Vixen caught up with the long-legged beauty before she heads to Paris Fashion Week. In full creative mode, she talks aspirations beyond modeling and music, why Tokyo and Paris inspire her style and why she’d raid Naomi Campbell’s closet. –Jazmine Gray and Niki McGloster

VIBE VIXEN: You have a lot of great things going on. What are you most excited about?
CASSIE: Oh wow, I’m really excited for people to hear the new music. “King of Hearts” is so exciting for me—the video and everything, it’s definitely the best of me thus far in my music career. The rest of the music, I’m just excited for everybody to hear the rest of it. It’s different from “King of Hearts.”

You do a lot more modeling and videos than you do work as a recording artist. Which do you enjoy more: singing or modeling?
Honestly, everything is about right now. Right now, it’s all about the singing, but modeling is in my blood. I’ve been doing it since I was 12, so it’s just part of me. I can’t really say one or the other. I think they’re both just as important to me. Right now the music is what I’m loving. I’m in the creative mode; I’m finishing my album, but I’m still modeling, still doing everything at the same time, still working.

What do you think you’d be doing if you weren’t doing either of those things?
Oh man, I couldn’t even imagine. I wouldn’t be the same person. Nah, but I probably would’ve gone to school and finished college. I really wanna go to art school. I even still wanna go to art school. That would’ve probably been something that I would’ve done—studied art history, interior design or something like that. Or I would be a chef but I don’t know how that would work out. I like to cook, but I don’t know if I’m necessarily good at it.

What would you say is your dream fashion campaign?
I mean there’s several. Maybe like a Louis Vuitton or a Fendi. No, you know, we want to talk these things, but you never know what could happen. I’m kind of down for anything. I love fashion so whatever comes my way would be my dream.

'Sesame Street' Praised For The Inclusion Of Homeless Character

Sesame Street continues its crusade to include statement-making characters on their block. This time around, families will be introduced to Lily, the show’s first homeless character.

According to USA Today, Lily- an adorable hot pink, red haired puppet- was first introduced to the show in 2011, but in new online clips, Lily opens up about being homeless and staying with friends.

"Now we don't have our own place to live, and sometimes I wonder if we'll ever have our own home," she says to Elmo in one clip. In her initial appearances on the show, Lily discusses her family’s food insecurities, meaning they didn’t have much to eat.

“We know children experiencing homelessness are often caught up in a devastating cycle of trauma – the lack of affordable housing, poverty, domestic violence, or other trauma that caused them to lose their home, the trauma of actually losing their home, and the daily trauma of the uncertainty and insecurity of being homeless,” said Sherrie Westin, President of Global Impact and Philanthropy at Sesame Workshop.

“We want to help disrupt that cycle by comforting children, empowering them, and giving them hope for the future," she continues. "We want them to know that they are not alone and home is more than a house or an apartment – home is wherever the love lives.”

In recent years, Sesame Street has introduced a slew of ground-breaking new characters, including Julia, a puppet with autism, and Alex, a character whose father is incarcerated.

The likes of Gwen Stefani, RuPaul, Jennifer Lopez, Emily Blunt, Leah Remini, Lin-Manuel Miranda, among others will be featured on the show after Bardi’s Monday episode.

To say the least, we're sure the British talk show host and the newly minted Grammy-nominated rapper are going to have the time of their lives.

The 26-year-old's now estranged husband Offset, along with the other members of Migos were guests on the beloved show. Joining Corden as he drove through the streets of Los Angeles, the trio performed a slew of hits including "Walk It Talk It"  while also giving a nod of praise to past hits, including Whitney Houston's "Wanna Dance With Somebody."

With all the fun Migos had with Corden, we can only imagine what shenanigans James and Belcalis are going to get into.

Romeo May Have Landed A Role In 'Bad Boys For Life'

Bad Boys 3 is officially going down, and there's going to be a lot of new changes. The biggest change seems to be major additions to the film's cast. In fact, Romeo Miller recently hopped on social media on Tuesday (Dec. 11), suggesting that he could be the newest addition to the Bad Boys team.

Romeo shared a photo of an email for a callback to the Bad Boys set on his Instagram Stories on Dec. 11. "When you get callbacks and opportunity to work alongside your idols, @martinlawrence and @willsmith, you go study and go ghost," the rapper-turned-actor said, mentioning stars Martin Lawrence and Will Smith.

Romeo isn't the only hip-hop star to possibly land a role in the forthcoming movie. Nicky Jam also suggested he was going out for a part during an interview with TMZ in Nov. 2018. "I actually came her because I'm doing a casting for a movie," he said at the time.

As previously reported Will Smith and Martin Lawrence announced that the third installment of the Bad Boys franchise is finally happening after years of negotiating. The upcoming film, entitled, Bad Boys For Life, is expected to premiere in Jan. 2020.
