Breaking: Whitney Houston Dies From Accidental Drowning, Cocaine Use
According to the L.A. County Coroner via TMZ, the late and legendary Whitney Houston had cocaine in her system during the time of her death. Although the official cause of death has been confirmed as a combination of "accidental drowning" and heart disease, suspicion of drug use was never ruled out, as she had a long battle with substance abuse.
On February 11, Houston was found unconscious in her Beverly Hill Hotel room semi-submersed in the bathtub. Several pills were found on the scene, including Xanax, Ibuprofen and Midol, but no signs on cocaine surfaced.
This may be a mighty blow to fans and her family members who believe the "I Will Always Love You" singer was in a state of recovery. Despite drug use, many still feel there was foul play involved in Houston's untimely death.
