George Zimmerman Will Be Criminally Charged in Trayvon Martin Case

Prosecutor Angela Corey will announce today (Wednesday April 11) that she is charging George Zimmerman for the death of Trayvon Martin.

CNN reports that the announcement will officially close the investigation. The news comes the day after Zimmerman’s own attorneys said they would no longer represent him in the case. Justice will finally be served in the coming hours when Corey will make the decision to the public.

Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer, fatally shot Martin, who was unarmed, back in February. He claimed it was self-defense, but the evidence that was revealed throughout the investigation looks to prove otherwise.

The protests and outrage has finally had an outcome in favor of the people.
