Michelle Obama Presents Taylor Swift with Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award
First Lady Michelle Obama, ever so stylishly, presented Taylor Swift with the Big Help Award at Nickelodeon's 25th annual Kids' Choice Awards this past Saturday (March 31).
Swift was recognized by the First Lady for her charity work with flood and natural disaster survivors around the world. The motive behind her accomplishments line right up with Mrs. Obama's philanthropic efforts in spearheading the government "Let's Move" campaign for childhood obesity.
"I've always wanted to meet you! This is amazing. I'm so honored to get, to be receiving this award from the First Lady of the United States. I'm freaking out," the humble country singer said upon receiving her award.
Wearing high-waisted metallic skinny jeans, a shimmering houndstooth top and pointy toe black pumps, Mrs. Obama shed light on 22-year-old Swift's ability to top the music charts, stay grounded and recognize a void in communities that needed to be filled. In attendance with the First Lady were, of course, her two daughters, Sasha and Malia.
