The stresses of the day can take a toll on your body: Scrambling to turn in a paper or proposal on time. Wearing 4-inch heels around the office. Going to happy hour and then staying way after hours. Here’s how you can wake up feeling refreshed and looking beautiful…overnight!
1. Prevent puff.
Sleep on your back and use a slightly elevated firm pillow to help prevent fluids from collecting in your facial tissues at night.
2. Soften your feet.
Rub Vaseline on your feet, targeting your heel area. Then put on cotton socks to seal in the moisture. Your feet will be silky smooth in the morning.
3. Zap zits.
Because bacteria can cause acne, treat surfacing pimples with a product containing an antibacterial ingredient like sulfur and benzoyl peroxide. Tea tree oil is a natural alternative that also has antibacterial properties.
Stretching before bed makes you to fall asleep faster and sleep more deeply. Hold each stretch position steadily for 15 - 30 seconds. Breathe slowly and deeply.
5. Get 8 hours.
One of the simplest tricks you can do over night is get enough sleep. While there is no “magic number” for how many hours of sleep you should get a nightt, it’s recommended that adults get 7 – 9 hours of rest. You’ll wake up feeling energized.
