As summer approaches, clothes shed and Vixens begin to bathe in the sun more often. It's fun to enjoy the warm rays and frolic on sandy beaches, but as we gallivant in summer dresses and short shorts, we have to be mindful of our body's protective layer--our skin.
Here are some helpful tips to keeping your skin silky smooth and locking in the moisture we need to be radiant!
This is the golden rule for all skin beauty! Make sure to scrub off dead skin at the end of each day.
Use cocoa butter-enriched beauty products
Cocoa butter helps lock in moisture, so be sure to check your soaps and body washes for the good-smelling substance. There are sunscreen properties in cocoa butter, but don't be fooled. Any shade of skin can still be susceptible to sun damage, so you must remember to apply sunscreen if you plan to be outdoors all day. Make sure you apply SPF 15 or 30 to block harmful UV rays.
Extra tip: Herbal-infused products help achieve fresh skin!
Moisturize with light creams or oils
Stash your winter creams away and pick up some moisturizing items that are lighter in weight. Even if you're not fond of cocoa butter (see previous page), there are several lightweight alternatives to keep your skin hydrated throughout the day.
Eight to ten glasses, Vixens, and nothing less! To keep your skin looking radiant and healthy, you've got to start from the inside out. Take a break from your mojitos and margaritas to sip some refreshing spring H20.
