Knicks’ Amar’e Stoudemire Enrolls In University of Miami

If you’re gonna be strolling on campus at the University of Miami this summer, you may bump into New York Knicks player Amar’e Stoudemire.

“Just enrolled at the University of Miami. Working on continuing my education,” the team’s center tweeted along with a photo of himself holding up the “U” sign next to a man in a bow tie.

Officially a Cane, Stoudemire enrolled in the school’s general studies program for summer classes after the Knicks were knocked out of the first round of the NBA playoffs.

The Lake Wales, Florida native is making up for lost time after he was drafted to the NBA in 2002 straight out of Cypress Creek High School in Orlando. During the lockout, he took up history and science at Florida International University.

Now he can trade his goggles for studious glasses off-court.
