Meagan Good Defends Her ‘Racy’ Vegas Burlesque Dance
--They say girls just want to have fun, but what are the rules when you’re a future preacher’s wife?
Meagan Good is in defense mode after being criticized for her bachelorette party in Las Vegas over the weekend where she performed a sexy burlesque dance. Seems like innocent fun until you consider her engagement to DeVon Franklin, a Sony Pictures exec and 7th Day Adventist preacher.
After receiving backlash from many conservative Christians, Good took to Twitter to state:
Let’s get something straight…I wasn’t half naked last night ..I was actually very covered up,not showing anymore than I show when I dress up to go to events…and let’s get something else straight..I’m a actress..there will be many things narrow minded people deem unholy or not 1st lady like…But this is not so..it’s about your relationship with God and your personal convictions…if you see footage you will see I was covered up having fun dancing and enjoying my self with my friends and family and absolutely not doing a striptease…smh people are ridiculous..Can’t a give enjoy her bachelorette party in peace?
Before the controversial performance, Good spoke with the Las Vegas Sun to explain that while her husband-to-be was not “ecstatic” with her decision, he wanted her to be happy and she would respect him by remaining tasteful.
