Michael Jackson's Letter to Lisa Marie Presley
Before the music world lost its King of Pop, Michael Jackson suffered in private from always being in the public eye. In a revealing new letter, Jackson wrote to his former wife Lisa Marie Presley out of desperation, saying:
"Lisa I truly need this rest I haven't slept litterally [sic] in 4 days now. I need to be away from phones and Business people. I must take care of my health first Im' [sic] crazy for you."
He signed, "love Turd," Jackson's supposed nickname. The words "smell here” lie at the top next to a small box.
According to ABC News, the letter was written sometime between 1993 and 1996 (the two were wed from 1994 to 1996) and was being put up for auction by Julien’s Auctions. Presley reportedly filed a complaint to the company causing owner Darrien Julien to remove it from the auction block.
Julien told TMZ, "I'm assuming it's a personal nature, and we wanted to honor the request and continue our good relationship with Ms. Presley."
Though their marriage was short-lived, Presley made an appearance in Jackson’s video “You Are Not Alone.”
