V Playlist: Busta Rhymes, Big K.R.I.T., Vali, Kid Ink, SL Jones & DJ Burn One, Ludacris

VIBE’s Daily Additions to the ‘Pod

1. Busta Rhymes (feat. Reek Da Villian & J-Doe) – “King Tut”
We appreciate Busta’s street shit, but don’t you miss the ‘whoo-haaa!’ Busta Buss? Not sure if this is the first single off his forthcoming YMCMB debut, but it’s ok at best.

2. Big K.R.I.T. (feat. Juicy J & Waka Flocka Flame) – “Temptation (Remix)”
Southern cut from some of the hottest rappers coming out the south right now. Nice.

3. Vali (feat. Juicy J) – “Bon Voyage”
Could be a nice summer/vacation track for those sunny days and cool nights. We’ll see where this goes.

4. Kid Ink (feat. Kirko Bangz) – “Take It Down”
We see this poppin’ off BIG in the strip clubs!

5. SL Jones & DJ Burn One – Paraphernalia [Mixtape]
Burn One does magic on the production in this tape! There’s a low-rider vibe throughout the entire thing, and SL’s bars are undeniably on point. “M.E.M.P.H.I.S.”, featuring Freddie Gibbs, is a big standout, with “T.H.C.” and the more slowed down “Per Say” being bangers as well. Mary-Jane indulgers, download this asap!

6. Ludacris – “Jingalin”
It’s funny: We recently praised Lupe for his “T.R.O.Y.” sample—bringing something new and fresh to his version. Now, Luda releases this track, which could’ve been a B-Side off Battle Of The Sexes. To sample such a fun classic song as LL’s “Jinglin’ Baby,” Luda def missed the mark with this one.
