Missing Actress with Manic-Depressive Disorder Found At Airport
The New York actress with manic-depressive disorder was found at John F. Kennedy airport after disappearing from her home Sunday.
According to ABC News, Mabel Pantaleon, who has appeared on "Dexter" and "Mystery ER," was picked up by New York Port Authority police Thursday evening.
"She was in [Port Authority's] custody on Thursday evening. She was in good condition, and there was nothing suspicious," NYPD Sgt. John Buthorn said.
The 31-year-old actress was reportedly trying to purchase a ticket when her name popped up on the database and authorities picked her up.
Her mother Sylvia Pantaleon was relieved her daughter was found. "Everything is over, thank God. She's OK, and she is in the hospital," her mother told ABC News on Friday. "Thank god for everything .. that this is over now."
Sylvia believes her daughter had gone off her medication. Before her daughter disappeared, said her mother, she didn't recognize her family members and accused them of being terrorists. "She said, 'I'm leaving from here, all of you are terrorists, you're not my mother. I knew it wasn't her," her mother said. She added that Mabel doesn't have friends or a boyfriend.
Authorities took Mabel to the psychiatric emergency room at Jamaica Hospital Thursday.
