A-Trak Scratches Out the Button Pushers
A certain mau5head-donned DJ has been spreading some hate, claiming that DJs' are nothing but a bunch of button pushers. And while this may be true for some of today's iPod playing wannabes, many of which happen to sell out stadiums. Why? Because, well, there's cool light shows and glow sticks, AND lollipops, bro!
This can't be said for the kid who was named the world's best turntablist at the pubescent age of 14 by DJ Mag. We're talking about A-Trak (born Alain Macklovitch). The 30-year-old needle dropping, crate carrying, Techniques freak (many moons before "Barbra Streisand" looped nightly at every club from NYC to ATL) won scratch battles alongside real deal record spinners, like his buddy DJ Craze, who took the turntable title at age 12.
If you want to see how it's really done, check out the video above for "Money Makin'" and see A-Trak beat juggle his collaboration with Dillion Francis (producer of track "I.D.G.A.F.O.S" or "I Don't Give a Fuck or Shit").
If you're feeling this "Fool" is spinning "Gold" grab it on iTunes here.
