V Playlist: Hit-Boy x Kid Cudi, Wale x Fabolous x French Montana, Young Chris, tabi Bonney x Fat Trel, Bonita

VIBE’s Daily Additions to the ‘Pod

1. Hit-Boy (feat. Kid Cudi) – “Old School Caddy”
Hit-Boy’s crazy production adds more to this track than his actual lyricism. Not that he’s bad, but the homie has yet to prove that he’s in the running to be to 2012 what Kanye West was to 2004.

2. Wale (feat. Fabolous & French Montana) – “Cake”
The only thing memorable about this song is “….bust a dance move.” Given who’s on this, the song could’ve been so much better.

3. Young Chris – “King”
The horns on the production add an unique flavor that’ll have you knocking. Paired with a catchier chorus other than, “Imma K-I-N-G…” & this wouldn’t be bad at all.

4. tabi Bonney (feat. Fat Trel) – “TOHL (Time Of Her Life)”
This one gets points for adding elements of dubstep to an otherwise hip-hop track. However, there’s just not anything concrete here that makes this track stand out.

5. Bonita – “Hip Hop Gone”
This is a fun song. It has a nostalgic hip-hop soul feel, both in the production & lyrics. You can easily vibe to this.
