MLB Investigates Melky Cabrera For Scheme to Avoid Suspension

After being suspended for testing positive for a banned substance, baseball star Melky Cabrera is now under additional investigation.

The San Francisco MVP is under fire after one of his associates created a fake website in attempts to excuse the high levels of testosterone found in his tests.

His reps hired a consultant to launch a site for a fake sports cream, which Cabrera planned to cite as the reason for his test results. He was to claim that he was using the cream without realizing that it contained a banned substance.

The Major League Baseball and Food & Drug Administration are investigating the case which took about six investigators to uncover.

Cabrera was suspended for 50 games upon testing positive for banned substances and is unlikely to face additional discipline.
