NEW MUSIC: deadmau5's "Professional Griefers"
The masked music machine/controversy starter, deadmau5, is starting some new buzz around his anticipated follow-up to debut 4x4=12, the satirically titled album title goes here on ULTRA Music, set for a September 25 release.
The mau5, born Joel Zimmerman, the current poster child for electronica's musical takeover, has been making the headlines as of late from his beefs and commentaries on Madonna, Skrillex, button-pushers, and even his own delusion with fame and the industry. Is it all a media ploy for the for his next album, sure to be a clubland staple, or is he truly ready to bring back (some positive) attention to the music with his new single "Professional Griefers," featuring the vocals of (where has he been) My Chemical Romance's lead singer, Gerard Way. Debuting on iTunes Dance Top 5 list, "Professional Griefers" is an electro-rock fest. deadmau5's usual pounding percolations of inquisitive progressive house grooves rocks on, only this time there's some serious hollering from Way that's ready to rumble on the dancefloor.
