TRAILER: Can “Red Dawn” Be Better Than The Original?

Section 80’s babies may be familiar with the 1984 Cold War classic, Red Dawn, which starred Patrick Swayze and Charlie Sheen. But a new generation is getting to show their patriotic side in the upcoming remake.

The long-awaited trailer for the troubled project, Red Dawn, starring a pre-Thor Chris Hemsworth, his younger brother’s Hunger Games co-star Josh Hutcherson, Josh Peck and Adrianne Palicki (Friday Night Lights), finally hit the Internets today.

The rebooted thriller completed production in 2010, but was delayed as MGM struggled with the insolvency that also delayed tentpole productions of The Hobbit and the newest James Bond film Skyfall. Hemsworth takes on the lead role which was held by the late Patrick Swayze, as he and his band of Wolverines fend off an attack in America’s Heartland from China.
