VH1 Cancels “Ev & Ocho” Reality TV Show

Things have seemingly gone from bad to worse as lovebirds-turned-jailbirds, Chad (Ochocinco) Johnson and Evelyn Lozada will no longer be gracing TV sets this fall.

The married duo’s show, Ev and Ocho, will no longer be televised, according to VH1. The series has officially been canceled. The network broke the news this afternoon, citing Johnson’s recent domestic abuse arrest as the reason for pulling the plug on the show. “Due to the unfortunate events over the weekend and the seriousness of the allegations, VH1 is pulling the series Ev and Ocho from its schedule and has no current plans of airing it,” a statement posted on the network’s blog reads.

As of press time, it is unclear whether the network is privy to any other facts that have yet to be revealed to the public, but what is clear is that things may not be so kosher in the real reality world of Mr. and Mrs. Ochocinco.

For those who are uninformed, Chad Johnson was recently arrested over the weekend when an argument between he and his wife turned physical. Johnson was released from a Florida jail on $2,500 bond and has been advised by a judge to not contact his wife by any means. To make matters more juicy, the Miami Dolphins, a team which Johnson was happy to rejoin, have terminated their association with him. Meanwhile, Lozada, who is sporting quite the gash on her forehead, has reportedly been discharged from an area hospital where she went for help following the dispute that ended with her allegedly requiring stitches due to a large gash.

Neither Johnson nor Lozada have released any statement. It is also unclear if any other television appearances by the duo will be pulled. With that in mind, we must ask you all this question: Will Johnson and Lozada break the previous annulment record set by Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries?
