Awww Here It Goes: Kenan Thompson And Kel Mitchell Would Do A 'Good Burger' Sequel

Millennials rejoice! It looks like 90s television staples Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell would be down to do a sequel to their cult-classic film, Good Burger.

During a visit to Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, SNL star Thompson was asked a phoned-in question about the possibility of a "full-on sequel" to the film. A few years ago, Kenan and Kel reunited on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon for a resurrection of their All That sketch of the same name. It looks like the same question has crossed their minds before, and they are both open to the opportunity.

"We’ve been talking about it for a long time, and we’ve had meetings about it," Thompson revealed. "So, it’s in the higher powers’ hands, because we both said were down to do it."

He also elaborated on the viral Good Burger reunion seen on Fallon.

"Thanks to Dan Schneider [All That's creator], he called me and he was like, a friend of his was working on The Tonight Show, and they had that idea to do the reunion. He reached out to me and then I called Kel, and then we talked, we played phone tag for like three days… it was a nice, 40 minute conversation that we had… it was nice to reconnect because it was like picking up right from where we left off.”

Let's hope that we can see a sequel to the film in our lifetime, as we expect it'd be welcome with open arms.

Meek Mill's Album 'Championships' Debuts At Number One

Meek Mill's fourth studio-album Championships is the top album in the country, according to Billboard. The Philly native's first musical body of work since being released from jail debuted on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart with some pretty impressive numbers.

The site reads, "The set earned 229,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Dec. 6, according to Nielsen Music. Of that sum, 42,000 were in traditional album sales. The album was released on Nov. 30 via Maybach/Atlantic Records and is the hip-hop artist’s second chart-topper, following 2015’s Dreams Worth More Than Money."

Just yesterday (Dec. 10), it was announced that Championships garnered Meek his very first top 10 hit; "Going Bad" with former nemesis Drake debuted on the Hot 100 chart at number six. This is also Drake's 33rd top 10 hit.

To make matters even better for the "Dreams and Nightmares" MC, Championships also carries the ninth-largest streaming week of 2018, with 235.4 million on-demand streams for the week ending Dec. 6.

The official results of the Billboard 200 Albums chart were delayed due to an unexplained numbers discrepancy. Lil Baby's latest album Street Gossip came in at No. 2, while embattled musician Tekashi 6ix9ine's DUMMY BOY sits at No. 3.

It's a great week to be Meek. Congrats on the top-selling album.

Torrei Hart Defends Ex-Husband Kevin Amidst Homophobia Controversy

Torrei Hart, comedienne and the ex-wife of Kevin Hart, is standing by the comedian after anti-gay remarks and tweets came to light. These comments caused the Night School actor to step down from his role as the host for the 2019 Academy Awards.

Torrei, who is the mother of two of Kevin’s children, spoke with Inside Edition, and assured that her ex-husband is not homophobic, and that he would still love their 11-year-old son Hendrix if he was gay.

“He’s not. He’s a comedian and he was just making a joke,” she said. “I don’t think, of course, he wants a gay son — of course, you want your son to be like you – but I think definitely if our son was to turn up gay, I don’t think he would be homophobic about it. I think he would embrace him and love him the same.”

Kevin apologized for the comments made during his stand-up in the past, but Torrei feels that an apology wasn’t necessary this time around.

“I stand with him, I don’t think he should have apologized,” she continued. “I think they should still have him host. I mean, who are they going to get? Mother Theresa?”

Reports yesterday (Dec. 10) surfaced that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is considering holding the event without a host at all.
