CMT Picks Up ‘Dog The Bounty Hunter’ For 10 Episodes

Four months ago, it seemed A&E had given the ax to its popular series “Dog The Bounty Hunter,” but now Duane Chapman is coming back.

According to THR, Country Music Television (CMT) has picked up the show for 10 hour-long episodes that will focus on Duane “Dog” Chapman and his wife Beth helping struggling mom-and-pop bail bond agencies and amateur bounty hunters.

“This series is a game-changer for CMT,” said CMT’s Jayson Dinsmore, Executive VP of Development and Programming at the cable channel. “We were aggressive in our pursuit of a show featuring Dog and Beth, one of the most bankable teams in television history. We couldn’t be happier to partner with Electus and Dog and Beth as they move forward on the next chapter.”

The Chapman couple will executive produce the show through their Entertainment by Bonnie and Clyde shingle. Production is slated to begin early next year for a spring/summer debut.
