LA Politician Caught Jamming To Paul van Dyk
It appears that dance fever is spreading from college campuses to our own executive government, as was seen Monday night when Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa was caught jamming to Paul van Dyk. The party got started while Villaraigosa was at the restaurant Toy in the Meatpacking District, and he turned to the fellow diner sitting next to him, restaurant co-owner and co-founder of the boozy “Day & Night” brunch Daniel Koch, and started conversing on a very unlikely subject.
According to the New York Post: "The two began chatting about their favorite DJs, including Paul Van Dyk, and they then put Van Dyk songs on Koch’s iPod while sharing headphones. Then, to the surprise of other diners the seemingly reserved mayor began dancing. He also got into DJ Whoo Kid’s music as he spun at Nima Yamini’s weekly party, said an onlooker, who added that Villaraigosa was eating with some political types, but they were all 'fun and very approachable.'"
