Man In Wheelchair Shot While Waiting To Buy “Call Of Duty”

The gold rush to own Activision / Treyarch’s acclaimed video game took a turn for the worst early Tuesday morning.

A man in a wheelchair was shot as he waited in line outside a Koreatown GameStop to purchase “Call of Duty: Black Ops II”. The victim, a Latino male in his early 20s, was waiting in line just after 1 a.m. on Wilshire Boulevard and Vermont Avenue when he became embroiled in an argument with another man, according to Los Angeles police officials.

The suspect produced a real life gun and fired multiple shots, hitting the victim in the stomach.

Sgt. Pete Llanes said, “The suspect walked up, shot him and then fled on foot,” who added that police believe the suspect fled northbound on Chateau Place. The victim was treated at a hospital; his condition was unknown, police said.

Police also had no motive for the shooting, but if we had to guess it is because gamers are fiends to pwn a noob. Seriously, anyone with information is asked to call Olympic Division detectives at (213) 382-9102.
