Luke James Performs "I Want You" And Discusses 'Whispers In The Dark' Mixtape
N'awlins singer/songwriter Luke James can make light of any situation.
On his recently released mixtape Whispers In The Dark, James showcases both his sensitive and sexy sides. The N.A.R.S. Records signee reveals to VIBE that the title came from moments of revelation that came alive in the nighttime. "[WITD] is actually a line in one of my songs on my official album but it says a lot," he says. "At night is when my demons come out and it's kinda when I recognize and question them. I have moments, I hear these things and I feel like everybody goes through that."
The 11-track project features a lone cameo from producer/ rapper Hit-Boy but focuses on the vocal and emotional range of the soul singer. "I want the people to get into me so when the official album comes, there'll be no doubt in anyone's mind that I'll sell," he says. "Music you can feel is happening. People just gotta buy and support it."
