Brand domination in today's entertainment industry goes beyond fashion and beauty. Celebrities have jumped on the bandwagon of the tech era in recent years by launching their own mobile apps. iPhones and Androids give us constant access to the outside world, and celebs have definitely used that to their advantage.
Meek Mill is the latest star to launch a mobile app. "Dreams & Nightmares" features "Meekstagram," similar to Instagram, Meek's latest album and more. The free app is a great example of how celebs continue to remain relevant with their brand.

1. Alicia Keys
The "Girl on Fire" singer launched a storytelling app back in October 2012. The Journals of Mama Mae & Lee Lee is inspired by Keys’ relationship with her Nana and is centered around a young New York City girl’s relationship with her wise grandmother. For $3.99, the app encourages exploration through journaling, reading and music.

2. Kandi Burruss
In 2011, Kandi launched "Kandi Koated Spades." The app is the first urban spades app on iTunes. Developed by urban video gaming company Konsole Kingz, the $1.99 app allows multiple players to play online while using features such as “Reneg,” “Deuces Wild,” and “Jokers.”
King Bey has always known how to market herself, so her launch of the "Beyhive" was no surprise. The free app is a social network for her fans to stay updated on her latest updates and communicate with other fans.
In 2009, Diddy decided to share his favorite places for good eats with his app "Diddy's Blackbook." The free app uses the iPhone's GPS chip and figures out where you are and then tells you all about the nearest Diddy-verified restaurants, hotels, bars and clubs.

"Social Gaga" was launched in October 2012, and the free app is a breeding ground for Gaga's Little Monsters. Tweets, tour announcements and more are featured on the app.
