Dolvett Quince Explains How to Select The Perfect Personal Trainer
If there’s anyone who knows how to get rock hard abs and tight glutes its Dolvett Quince. Not only has he sculpted the bodies of countless celebrities—Angela Bassett, Boris Kodjoe, and Justin Bieber—but he encourages (ok, yells at) everyday people to lose extra pounds on NBC’s The Biggest Loser. He also believes in the importance of reshaping yourself mentally in order to transform physically, which is why he swears by LifeKraze, a new app that helps you keep track of what your friends are accomplishing physically and encourage them along the way.
Vibe Vixen: What’s the most important thing to look for when selecting a personal trainer?
Dolvett Quince: When selecting a personal trainer, you should ask them to show examples of results. If they have a specific plan for you, how will they go about that assignment? And then you should workout [with them] as a free consultation.
VV: How important is the personal trainer's personality?
DQ: Personality is key! It's personal training so you have to get along with the trainer.
VV: How much should a typical personal trainer charge?
DG: A trainer’s starting rate varies based on experience.

VV: Ok, you've selected a trainer and you're ready to begin. What should you ask before the sessions begin?
DQ: Ask for his/her certification, and what separates them from other trainers.
