H&M Hits the Runway for First Time in 8 Years

The last time H&M showcased its designs (collaborations aside) on a runway was in April 2005. But next month, the retail chain will present over 20 looks from its Fall 2013 collection. Although not apart of Paris Fashion Week, the Swedish retailer is scheduled to present at Musée Rodin in Paris, a location that has hosted Christian Dior and Yves Saint Laurent fashion shows.

Håcan Andersson, a rep for H&M, told WWD, “We felt excited about the collection and we really wanted to show it.”

Other mass-market retailers that have graced the runway include Topshop Unique, and J.Crew’s debuted its Spring 2012 collection in New York. More details to come!
