Grammy Award Winner Adele May Accept A Las Vegas Concert Residency Soon
Winning a bunch of Grammy Awards can do a lot for your music career. Just ask Adele.
The nine-time Grammy Award winner—who took home the "Best Pop Solo Performance" award this year for her song, "Set Fire to the Rain"—is reportedly thinking about accepting a residency in Las Vegas sometime in the not-so-distant future. According to the Daily Star, the British singer is working with Elton John at the moment to try and overcome the stage fright that has plagued her throughout her storied career. And, she's seriously considering moving to Sin City for an extended period of time to sing every night.
"Adele is [at the] top of the Vegas hit-list," a source told the Daily Star. "She wants to get back to performing but doesn't want to go on the road so soon after becoming a mum. A Vegas residency would mean she could settle with her family and record her third album all at once. She's been asking for advice from Elton, who spent years performing at Caesars Palace."
So, could Adele be the next big singer to take the plunge and set up shop in Vegas? We'll just have to wait and see. But, for now, we can all watch her perform live this Sunday when she takes the stage to perform "Skyfall" at the 2013 Oscar Awards.
"Elton John eased her mind about returning to the stage, the significance of the Oscars, and how she should return to playing live as she has such a great gift," the Daily Star source said.
Make sure you tune in on Sunday night to see how she does.
