Michael Jordan Picks Kobe Over LeBron?
NBA legend Michael Jordan turns 50-years-old this Sunday. The most famous basketball player of all time remains as one of the most talked about figures in the sport. His sneakers still sell out every release, the debates surrounding his skill are still talked about in sports circles, and his opinions on today's players are in high demand.
Recently, NBA TV spoke to Michael about his thoughts on Lebron James and Kobe Bryant. Of course, MJ did his best to remain neutral, but he did give one quote worthy bite to host Ahmad Rashard.
“If you had to pick between the two, that would be a tough choice,” Jordan, now owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, told program host Ahmad Rashard, “but five beats one every time I look at it.” Jordan was referring to Kobe's five championships with the Los Angeles Lakers, with James winning his first NBA title last June. “And not that he won’t get five,” Jordan said of James. “He may get more than that, but five is bigger than one.”
MJ has six of his own championship rings, so that leaves the pressure on Bron and Kobe.
“That doesn’t matter to me,” he said. “If you take Kobe one and then I go second . . . it doesn’t matter. I don’t really get too involved about what guys say about me, or if you take Kobe or if you take LeBron.”
Will either player surpass Jordan's six NBA championships?
