New Music: The M Machine “Metropolis Pt. II”

Japanese tech pop tunes. Warped dubstep bass. Soothing alternative vocals. Shredding ’80s guitar backdrop. No, we’re no scoring a new Tarantino flick. These are the sound elements found in The M Machine’s latest EP, “Metropolis Pt. 2.”

The SanFran electronic trio (made up of artists Ben Swardlick, Eric Luttrell, and Andy Coenen) seamlessly pulled together a blender of various music genres and styles to create a concoction worthy of the OWSLA record label dropping it. Each track hosts its own unique listening experience, avoiding one of the worst clichés an electronic artist could put forth: predictability.
