Leona Lewis Teams With The Body Shop for Cruelty Free Makeup

There’s nothing more refreshing than seeing a Vixen become a star with international success in different fields. X Factor alum Leona Lewis is proving she’s that girl.

The British singer and songwriter is set to release her third album Glassheart this month, and raise awareness of cruelty free beauty with the launch of her new makeup and fragrance collection. With the partnership with The Body Shop, the collection will include shimmer palettes, lip glosses and a synthetic blusher brush, all under $25.

Starting May 15, Leona will also invite her fans to sign a pledge to support Cruelty Free International’s efforts to ban the testing of cosmetics on animals.

“The fact is that there are alternative tests that are far more superior to testing on animals,” the animal rights activist told WWD. “It’s a cruel, barbaric and an unnecessary process. This cruelty can end if we speak out loud enough and I urge everyone to sign this pledge.”

The collaboration will be available at the end of this month.
