1,000 Flights Canceled At Chicago Airports?

Chicago is preparing itself for one last snow storm of the winter.

The Windy City isn’t taking any chances with reports of a bitter storm heading their way. According to the Denver Post Airlines have canceled nearly 1,000 flights at Chicago airports because the weather reports state over 10 inches of snow could be falling in Northern Illinois. Some areas may get up to a foot.

The Chicago Department of Aviation said Tuesday that more than 770 flights were canceled at O’Hare International Airport. Airlines have canceled more than 215 flights at Midway International Airport, but no current delays were reported at either airport.

City aviation officials urge travelers to check their flight status with airlines.
