‘SNL’: Justin Timberlake Drops Classy Comeback to Kanye West “Suit & Tie” Diss

If you watched Justin Timberlake’s fifth turn as host and performer on Saturday Night Live this past Saturday (March 9) you laughed, and maybe laughed so hard you cried, but you also may have heard his comeback to Kanye West’s recent “Suit & Tie” diss.

A jealous West dissed Timberlake back in February during one of his pre-“Clique” rants at London’s Hammersmith Apollo. “Remind me again why we in this shit,” West rapped. “Remind me again why the Grammys could suck my dick. Remind me again who’s the original Super Fly. And, I got nothing but love for Hov, but I ain’t f—ing with that ‘Suit & Tie.”

Timberlake performed the usual two songs — “Suit & Tie” and ” Mirrors” — on SNL. During “Suit & Tie,” which brought Jay-Z out, Timberlake coyly switched the lyrics around. “And aww, sh– so sick, got a hit and picked up a habit/ But that’s alright, cause you’re all mine,” is how the verse usually goes. JT swapped the verse to go: “Aww, my hit so sick, got rappers acting dramatic. That’s alright. It’s all mine.”

Timberlake’s revised verse begins at the two-minute mark in the video below. Even when he’s dissing, Timberlake’s a class act.
