Big Sean Knocks Kid Cudi Diss Rumors

Last week it seemed like G.O.O.D Music member Big Sean hopped on the train of rapper beefs. After releasing his new single “Switch Up,” Twitter buzzed endlessly about whether shots were directed toward former G.O.O.D Music label mate Kid Cudi. “Motherfucker that’s the dumbest shit somebody could ever say,” Sean told MTV. “That’s my fam. When I lost my Jesus piece Cudi gave me his Jesus piece. That’s my brother.”

Big Sean previously commented on the departure of Cudi leaving the label, but this wasn’t enough to deflect any rumors from circling. “It was just ironic that he announced he’s leaving G.O.O.D. Music the same time we put the song ‘Switch Up’ out.”

He later spoke on the track he produced with Common appearing on his Hall Of Fame album, “As thought-provoking as the album is, me and Common just had fun on this track,” the Detroit lyricist said. “We didn’t think too much, we just went in, went hard—you know, pause. When I put it out, I did it for the believers and the people that’s been rocking with me, fans of real rap.” —Megan Guard
