Lil Reese Arrested in Chicago After Sleeping in Car, Held on $100K Bond

Lil Reese, 20, was arrested after cops found him sleeping in his car on Sunday in Chicago’s Fuller Park neighborhood.

Born Tavares Taylor, the Glory Boyz Entertainment rapper was taken in at 4AM after a cop noticed him inside the vehicle. Reese was booked for an outstanding warrant only issued on Thursday. The warrant stems from a February 2012 incident where Lil Reese is accused of criminal trespass to a residence with persons present, mob action and battery. He is being held for $100,000 bond.

This is not Reese’s first tango with authorities. He got two years probation for burglary charges in May 2010, and his name often came up in the investigation into the death of rival rapper Lil Jojo last September. He got unfavorable press when video footage of Reese “laying the smackdown on a woman” surfaced online one month later, in October. The incident reportedly happened in 2011 after the woman in the video asked Reese and his friends to leave her residence, and they did not oblige. It is uncertain if the warrant and particular incident are related.

The rapper, who has a deal with Def Jam, just dropped the track “Money Stackin” earlier this week.
